Sunday Discovery: Female Hackers Help Stop Trafficking
Izzy Johnston is a freelance developer / programmer created this fun app for the iphone – and a billion other things.
She describes herself as “someone who believes firmly that people should be in charge of their own information”. Amen.
She is also one of the kick-ass women who participated last weekend in the Hamptons for the first Hackathon for Humanity.

“Sara Chipps, a cofounder of Girl Develop It, teaches women how to create their own visions on the web. In the Hamptons, she taught everyone how to access GitHub, a software program that allows developers to collaborate with one another.” -Jed Lipinski for Fast Company. Photographs by Rebecca Greenfield. Read the rest and see the slideshow here.
See the platform / game to help women and raise awareness here.

Sponsored by Jumpthru (a very minimalist site. 100% focus on their mission without any scrap metal) founded by Deborah Jackson. Follow her on twitter and read her explanation of the event on Women 2.0.
